Use the object as the first sentence

A blank page can feel too open. An object gives you a place to begin.

Object journaling means you choose a stone, charm, photo, or keepsake and write from what it brings up. You do not need a perfect insight. You need one honest sentence.

Choose the object

Pick something small enough to hold or place beside the page. It should carry a feeling, memory, question, or habit.

  • A stone from a walk.
  • A crystal you keep reaching for.
  • A charm or ring connected to a person.
  • A garden stone from a place you miss.
  • A small keepsake that still feels charged.

Five prompts

Write one answer. Stop there if that is enough.

  • This object reminds me of...
  • The feeling I keep placing inside this object is...
  • If this object could ask me one question, it would ask...
  • I am ready to keep...
  • I am ready to put down...

Add a visual card

If the object is a stone or crystal, Aura Snap can turn the photo into a reflection card. Save it beside the journal entry or use it as the prompt before you write.

The card does not need to be public. Some rituals work better when nobody else sees them.

Questions

What is object journaling?

Object journaling is a writing practice where a physical object helps you start reflecting. The object gives your thoughts a concrete place to begin.

Can I use any object?

For journaling, yes. For Aura Snap, use a stone, crystal, rock, or mineral that photographs clearly.

Should I share the entry or card?

Only if you want to. Object journaling is useful even when it stays private.
